Fingerz ‘n’ Fretz
James Findlay is a locally based traditional singer, fiddler and guitarist. He started playing the fiddle at about eight years old while living in Dorset, and guitar at the age of fifteen.
Instrumentalist Jerry Bird has played fiddle, guitar and mandolin in various folk and folk-rock bands for more years than he cares to remember.
The pair are frequently to be found playing in traditional music sessions, notably at the Brewers Arms, Martinstown, and the Blue Raddle in Dorchester. Their repertoire includes many songs and tunes from Dorset and Somerset, including some country dance tunes from Thomas Hardy’s repertoire.
