Anonymous Youth Festival 2010

Anonymous 2010, Maumbury Rings on 28th Aug from 12:00 – 22:00

First Acts announced for this years Anonymous Festival

Dorchester’s free youth festival, Anonymous is back with a bang this year, and organisers Dorchester Youth Extra (DYE) and West Dorset District Council are delighted to announce that will be building on last years inaugural event with an even stronger line up of local and nation al talent.

The festival will be headlined by The Stow, who will be launching their Autumn tour at the event after a summer of festival as well as being filmed for a Sky 1 show about them.

Anonymous will once again highlight the rich vein of talent in the local area and also link up with community organisations to show the wide range of activities available for young people in the county town. Joining The Stow, local bands Patchwork Mammoth, Thomas and the Mock-Ups, The Longest Day will be playing.

Young people from Dorchester Youth Extra (DYE) have been working hard putting together a day of music, activities, stalls and food with the support of West Dorset District Council and Dorchester Town Council.

Emma Scott, Community Development Officer for West Dorset District Council says:

‘We have been looking to build on last years festival and get as many different groups as possible involved, showing what is out there for young people in and around Dorchester. There will be information stalls, a climbing wall, dancing, face-painting, a bouncy castle, DJ’s, craft stalls and much, much more.’

Emma Scott can be contacted on 01305 252204.

Can’t wait to join in the fun again this year. Had fun last year with Iain Cross, even though it poured with rain. This year Iain Cross returns with Andy M (my fiance) and DJ Joy-C, the cream of Dorchester’s DJ’s.
